Side Turkey is one of the Turkish Mediterranean's most attractive and popular resorts. Occupying a narrow peninsular on the sparkling Mediterranean coast, its history stretches back thousands of years. The resort is surrounded by stunning ruins, including the waterside Temple of Apollo and a well preserved Roman amphitheatre, which still hosts colourful performances. Side's archaeological importance means there are strict local planning regulations, which has helped the town maintain its charming character.

Strolling down the pedestrianised main street brings you to a harbour filled with pleasure boats and overlooked by restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy a relaxed sunset drink. The town's long sandy beaches are some of the best on the entire Turkish coast and have established the resort as one of the country's top tourist destinations. Paragliding, diving, jet-skis - every kind water sport is available- while many prefer just to laze in the warm Mediterranean sun.

Side is at the centre of a beautiful and very diverse region where the Taurus Mountains descend to the Pamphylian Plain. The unspoilt Sorgun forest, just east of the resort, offers walks or horse riding along its sandy trails. Two golf courses are planned for this area, joining the 10 courses already at Belek, which is only 30 minutes away. In November the first of those nearer to Side opens and boasts that it is the first links golf course in Turkey. With over 30 courses planned for the Antalya region over the next 10 years, Side promises to be at the centre of Europe's most exciting new golfing area.

Nearby Aspendos has a fantastic Roman theatre, which hosts a dazzling annual festival of breathtaking opera, ballet and musical performances during the summer months.
The waterfalls on the jade green Manavgat River are another popular local attraction. Further into the pine-forested mountains, a Roman bridge spans a rushing river in the Koprulu Canyon National Park, which is one of Turkey's premier white water rafting venues.

We spent a phantastic holiday in Side last week. The Oasis residence is an excellent place to be. The apartment was very charming, thank you very much for renting it to us. Once our holidays for next year are fixed, I 'll get back to you with a request to rent it to us for two weeks, one week is too short. Usually we spent our holidays in Turkey in 4 or 5 star hotels, but after trying the Oasis residence, I'm not sure if I want to go back to hotels. Your apartment offers the luxury of a 5 star hotel and in addition to the luxury you do not have permanently hundreds of people around you, at the pool, around the bar, in the restaurant, getting up early for sun beds and umbrellas etc etc. We had very quiet holidays that we enjoyed very much. The pool was not crowded at all, everything in and around the apartment was well maintained and proper. The people from the complex and the security people were very friendly and helpful whenever needed. Usually we do not watch TV when on holidays, so only on the 3rd day we tried to turn on the TV but got a message on the screen saying No signal. So there was a problem with the antenna cable apparently which the guys fixed quickly. I very much liked the indoor pool as well, which was pretty cold as it was not heated during summer, so it was refreshing to swim in there from time to time. The distance to the beach was also okay, fine for walking. I'm also attaching some photos we took.

Many thanks again. For sure I'll get back to you for our next holidays in Side once the date is known.

Just to say thank you we had a fab time. The apartment was great, spotless and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

One suggestion we would like to make is maybe to get a cooler box for the apartment. We went to the local beach and could not take our own food and drinks. Only a suggestion I dont know how many people would use it but we certainly would have. (This very useful suggestion has already been actioned)

We will definately recommend your apartment and have done so already.

Sorry Roz, only just back to work, so haven't had chance to reply. We had a very enjoyable holiday thank you. The apartment is really beautiful and it is on a very nice complex and as it was so hot, we were particularly grateful for the air conditioning!

We had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed for a holiday and more!

I have added a bit in you information folder about the car we hired locally and how to get a taxi/cost of same. We never did see any sign of the courtesy bus service to the beach or town, although other people did confirm it exists, no-one seemed sure of its timetable or where it actually went! (Sounds like Turkey!) (A timetable is now displayed by the entrance)

The apartment was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Close to everything you need. Staff very helpful and friendly, we made a few friends. Amazing pool and relaxed atmosphere. There was a free bus shuttle service to the beach. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a holiday in the Side area. We had a fantastic holiday thank you very much.

Stunning apartment, great location and brilliantly helpful and friendly people. Great customer service from owner. My family and I had an excellent time and will be rebooking for next year. The furnishing and facilities in the apartment were 5 star, lovely and clean and everything you could possibly need for a stay and more. Would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a quality stay in a quality apartment and resort. We also loved Side.

From what we had seen from the website and also the builder's website our expectations were high. Once arriving at the site we already were convinced seeing the proper entrance, the pool. The whole environment was well maintained, very clean. And then the apartment itself, just fantastic. We felt immediately at home:-) Everything was as well maintained and clean as seen on the pictures. The location is very good because it is not a crowded touristic area, however, the more crowded areas are within short walking distances. So is the beach, but the kids prefered staying at the pool which was so calm like a privately owned one, even in mid-August. We also enjoyed the indoor pool which was refreshing while it was over 40 degrees outside. We were fully satisfied with the premises that we did not travel around a lot because we needed some rest. We of course went to Manavgat and have eaten fish there. Absolutely recommendable to buy fish at the fish hall in Manavgat and get it grilled in the restaurants, which they do for very cheap (5 YTL per kilo!). I've already recommended this apartment in Side to friends and family and will go back there with my family whenever possible. The kids have already watched the videos in the pool endless times and told us several times how much they are missing the Oasis residence."

We had a lovely holiday, the apartment was amazing! Even better than we had expected. The whole complex really did feel like an 'Oasis'. It was so good to be able to jump in the pool when we got back, having been out in the day. Grace loved the small pool and she would have spent all day in there if we'd have let her. She also loved the security guard because he kept giving her flowers!!

We hired a car for a couple of days. One day we drove along the coast towards Alanya and stopped at a lovely beach about 30mins drive from Oasis. On the other day we drove up towards the mountains, along the river which was really nice.

We used the free 'No Name Beach' bus on most days which was really useful. We found the Turkish people very friendly and hospitable.

The transfers were good both ways and the cleaning was exceptional. The travel cot was ideal, it is the same as the one we've got at home.

Thank you for renting us the apartment we wish we were still there!
